From January 21 to April 30, 2017, Kelly Richardson's work Orion Tide was on view at the Musée de Joliette.
The singularity of Kelly Richardson's videos lies in the numerous sources she gleans. Inspired by science fiction and romantic paintings of the 18th century, the artist blends images of landscapes, documentary clips and digital effects. The videos she creates transport the viewer to images of uncertain origin, ambiguous in their familiarity, but at the same time disturbing and bewitching.
